Seeds hold destiny in their tiny bodies.
All that is to come packed in tight
waiting for its moment to burst forth
and become.
We blended our compactness together
and made new seeds.
A life.
One of togetherness.
One of flesh.
The expressions of our devotion
worries
tenderness
challenges
hope.
Look my love –
look what our seeds made:
Pure, incandescent radiance.
Out of all the seeds on this earth
and in the universe
I found you and
you found me.
Together we chose one another
and look what came of it.
Look at all we have manifested
you and I.
It wasn’t always easy
and there were times we
could have said enough
and almost did.
I have spent whole years
avoiding your eyes –
the seeds to your soul.
The truth is
I couldn’t stand to look into
my own.
Please forgive me
for abandoning you to
loneliness.
Trust that
I’ve used that time wisely,
searching my own inner landscape.
And what I’ve come to know
is that even in desolation
a seed can still reside in the dark
awaiting its moment of becoming.
I have watered my soul,
I have cleared a path
back to my own heart
and
to you –
to us.
Seeds blossoming side by side
forever.
